Batoon had a similar mold to Baltard, another character in the Galaxy Fighters line, the biggest changes being the hair cut and eyepatch. The name Batoon started on the Galaxy Fighters version 2 card, which was orange, but the name was given to Baltard, which had replaced the name Baltard. Later, on the version 3 card, which had a space-themed background featuring the Castle of Doom, an unproduced playset that was featured at the back of the version 1 and 2 card, the name was given to this Batoon who replaced the Baltard figure in the line. Batoon was released on the version 3 card, and the version 4 card, which gave the Galaxy Fighters a new logo and featured Kobraa, another Galaxy Fighter, on the side.
