Description: "DAREDEVIL has built a giant fortress from where he lords over the streets of New York. Known as Shadowland, the fortress houses The Hand, the treacherous ninja army DAREDEVIL now commands. When he takes his crusade against crime further than ever, it sends a clear message: Shadowland will be ground zero for a war, a war fought on the streets of the city and in the depths of Matt Murdock's soul."
This figure includes a pair of nunchucks, a cardboard "Collectable Comic Shot," and twenty-four points of articulation. His head is taken from the Marvel Universe Series 1 Daredevil figure, and his body is taken from the Marvel Universe Captain Marvel figure. The paint on this figure is darker than the series one Daredevil, and is also black. It is based on Daredevil's appearance in the Marvel story arc called Shadowland.
In the Shadowland story arc, Daredevil constructs a fortress built from the ruins of a building that was destroyed by Bullseye in Hell's Kitchen, the section of New York where Daredevil operates. Daredevil is then the leader of the ninja army called the Hand, who he uses to fight crime. Daredevil has just returned from Japan, and his views have changed. Daredevil becomes more violent, and kills his archenemy Bullseye in the same way that Bullseye killed Daredevil's ally Elektra earlier in the Daredevil series. Daredevil eventually realizes that what he has done and the enemies that he has killed in the Shadowland story were not good decisions. He temporarily leaves Hell's Kitchen in the hands of Black Panther, one of his close allies, but soon returns.
