While I certainly enjoyed and played with this set as a child; "Mighty Max Trapped by Arachnoid" was never among my favorites. That's kind of unusual, at least for me, as I love spiders. Perhaps it was because this particular Doom Zone is rather plain; compared to most of the others? Let's proceed with the review!
A fun Doom Zone on the exterior, it forms, naturally, a giant spider. The colors of black, purple and green look good together and conjure feelings of Halloween. One of the mini-figures, a giant spider named Creep, lends its mandibles and legs to the exterior; giving it a rather grotesque appearance; as if the spider is dragging along its bloated, bulbous body on legs too small.
