Super Imaginative Chogokin (Bandai) Checklist

The detailed Super Imaginative Chogokin line began in 1998, and featured multiple lines from manga & TV characters created by Shotaro Ishinomori, beginning with Kikaider and followed with other 70's characters such as Kamen Riders, Robot Detective K, and Inazuman, and then expanding to the modern Masked Rider character. The first figures (1-10) where basically sculpted statues with a few moveable parts, high-end paint job, and multiple accessories (some diecast metal). As the series progressed, more points of articulation (up to 20 points) and even vehicles were added, retaining great sculpting, paint, and accessories. The figures stand just around 7 inches tall (18cm). The master sculptors of the S.I.C. line are Ando Kenji and Takayuki Takeya. However, even the most simple figures range from $60 to well over $100, which makes it an expensive collecting hobby. There are many Bandai spin-off lines in the same style, such as 4" trading figures of S.I.C.Takumi-Damashii, a 2006 non-S.I.C. Garo show line, a 2004 Movie Realization line (includes Devilman, Evangelion, Spider-Man, Batman), and a 2009 S.I.C Kiwami-Tamashii line, which is a smaller 12cm 4.5" sized poseable (20 points) figure.
