Go'el was the son of former orc chieftain Durotan. After his parents' deaths, he was found by humans who named him Thrall (slave) and raised him as a gladiator. Thrall escaped and joined the Horde under Orgrim Doomhammer who, when mortally wounded, would name Thrall Warchief of the Horde.
