A new breed of hero: Motor cycle-riding spirit of vengeance, adamantium-clawed mutant, and a battle hardened vigilante. More than their tools and their methods separate them from the rest of the earth's heroes. There is something that burns fiercely inside them.

Now fate and the machinations of Blackheart an insane villain bent on assassination has brought them together. Seeking allies to aid his plans, Blackheart hopes to reach into the deepest parts of these heroes, into their very hearts and souls. However, what he finds may be more than he bargained for.
