After years of studying about the grat pyramids of Egypt, Daniel Jackson (a child genius in college) came to the conclusion that the pyramids were not built by Egyptians 5,000 years ago, but were constructed thousands of years earlier! Such a radical theory caused his academic colleagues to dismiss his ideas as ridiculous. When he comes in contact with the mysterious STARGATE, Daniel is give the chance to prove his theories correct, while proving himself a hero.
