Gwildor first appeared in the 1987 feature film "Masters of the Universe" as a comc relief replacement for Orko whose flying abilities were too hard to financially achieve when the film was produced. Gwildor is one of the four figure in the toyline which are very bulky (The other mentions are Ram-Man, Twistoid and Rotar, respectively). Gwildor comes with his invention, the Cosmic Key, which in the film musically opened doors to other worlds. The blade on the toy Gwildor's key turns with manual assistance.
