A renowned geologist, Herc Armstrong is filled with a burning desire to understand the world. He would do anything to gain new insights into the origin and structure of the planet. Herc doesn't like to take unnecessary chances but he realizes that the only way to defeat the Inhumanoids is to act quickly. As founder of the Earth Corps, he has been thrust into the mantle of leadership and forced to lead his friends into danger.

Herc Armstrong's exploration suit is an electrically powered, computer-assisted exoskeleton which has been tested to withstand a concussive force equal to 100 pounds of TNT. Fully insulated and pressure regulated, it is able to maintain a steady internal environment and withstand external temperature variations from 150 - 5000 degrees Fahrenheit. Attached to the suit's right arm is a titanium steel hook which can be fired up to 1000 feet. The hook is permanently attached to the suit and can be retracted by a computer operated winch. The suit is also equipped with lifts that can extend the height of the suit and additional 5 feet.
