Looking for Odin/Allfather BAF legs or suggest equivalent in Action Figure Chatter by antithetical
Monday, September 26, 2016
   [Edit]
I'm trying to find the right and left legs for the Odin BAF, which seem to be as rare as hen's teeth on Ebay unless you buy the Thor and Iron Fist figures with the parts (don't need or really want either figure) or purchase a completed BAF figure (which would then leave me with all the remaining parts which I also neither need nor want). You can find heads, capes, weapons accessories, even torso pieces and to an extent arms, without much difficulty. I'd also be open to any suggestions for alternative legs (at least upper) which would fit and be suitable replacements. Thanks....[See More]

Oh, and had run across the figure you had mentioned earlier. Just checked it out again and it's missing the left leg.

You might have to buy a whole one and resell the extra parts, there's one for sale right now for $28 total. Sell your extra bits, maybe make like $10-$15 back.

Though yeah, it's a hassle if you're not used to shipping stuff all the time and don't have excess packaging laying around everywhere

Yeah, that's what I was thinking it would probably come down to, not that I don't have adequate packaging (PLENTY of boxes from previous purchases) or difficulty shipping (live practically next door to the post office, lol! and have a friend who can print out the discounted Ebay shipping label)), but it's still just the hassle of having to resell what I don't need.

Also worth noting is all those Marvel Universe/Infinite figs for $4-$5, Shanna, Hulk, Hyperion, Emma, etc, lots of decent base figures

There are also more MLs for $6, Hyperion, Machine Man, Ms Marvel,

You can get a whole HulkBuster, the figs are only $7 each ...

I was wondering if the other Hulkbuster figures were discounted as well, but when I did and ebay search on Thundra there was no listing from Hasbro, at least earlier when I ran across Val on sale.
Custom Marvel Legends! in Action Figure Chatter by NjSurfr40411

   [Edit]
Hey Realmers,

As I noted earlier, I'm letting go of most of the custom figures I've purchased over the years. I didn't create any of the customs, so I don't want to break any rules and post them on the "Customs for Sale" page. I'm going to post the item number for ebay and links for the current auctions. Feel free to ask any questions you might have. I'm hoping to send each of these pieces to a good home.

Customs for Sale? in Action Figure Chatter by NjSurfr40411
Tuesday, August 30, 2016
   [Edit]
Hey Realmers,

I'm a long time lurker who has picked up quite a few customs on eBay that have been displayed here. Unfortunately I no longer have a place to display these works of art, so instead of putting them in storage, I'd like to give others a chance to enjoy and admire them the way I have. My memory is awful, so I wasn't able to remember who made them until a fellow Realmer reached out to me earlier tonight on eBay and noted he had actually sold me one of the customs I had listed, which he had commissioned by Raybot. (Rogue - http://www.figurerealm.com/customfigure ... w&id=37560). I've also been able to track down the creator of X-Cutioner, http://www.figurerealm.com/customfigure ... w&id=55090 , and Iceman, http://w...[See More]

Yeah that's fine, or you could just edit this post, whatever is easier

The spirit of the "no links" rule is to keep bots/people from spamming their stores for free advertising/clutter, I don't mind when it's just to unload a few customs

I remember when Shins posted that fig, really cool

If it's not letting you post the ebay links then just post the item numbers so people can find the listings easily.
ARTICULATED ANIMALS in Action Figure Chatter by Ivory Towers
Tuesday, August 23, 2016
   [Edit]
Hey Hey Realmers! Ya know what really grinds my gears??? The fact that articulated animal action figures is grossly underrepresented!!!! Like they got that Figma horse, which is pretty nice but a bit small IMO for that large a price tag. And they got the horses from Lord of the Rings, which are about the best a lowly customizer such as myself can get. But what about other animals? Like a good falcon or bird of some sort. Or really any other kind of mount or monster or really just a scale representation of ANY animal. I seent a guy custom make a nice velociraptor out of spare marvel legends parts and lots of sculpt. But what other options are out there?!?!?! Whats do yous guys think?!?!?!...[See More]

Hazaa! I just found and pre-ordered a new line of scientifically accurate velociraptor figures that is still on kickstarter. Beasts of the Mesazoic it is called! Fully articulate feathered dino's! 1/6 scale velociraptor. Comes to about 5 or 6 inches tall and they look SWEET! A Mighty tharlarion mount indeed!

Specifically I am looking for a big @$$ bird to use as a mount. Like the ones Gandalf and party rode on in the Hobbit. Or like the "Tarns" form the GOR saga by author John Norman. Need a 1/12 scale rider to fit on ones back.

Depending on the animal, it can be tough to give it functional articulation. To the toy company, making the joints may not be worth the cost just to let the head move 5 degrees.

I think it would be an interesting project to have people submit drawings of how they would articulate various animals. I'd like to see how different people balance aesthetics against articulation, complexity against cost, etc.

do you have links to any reviews? All im finding are stock pictures of them

from what I remember seeing from SDCC pictures, their heads looked too small.

Edit: found these, they reviewed all except the MMPR Red Ranger http://www.power-punch.net/legacy-line.html ...

Ha, I hear you.
A word of caution though. You may end up modding the skirts anyway. The plastic on the Ninja Storm Blue Ranger is a stiff plastic that allows very little leg articulation, which is frustrating given that they added a slit on the sides of the skirt. Hopefully they'll see the reception to the first wave, and use a softer plastic for future female Rangers.
