Hobgoblin (Super-Poseable)
Spider-Man (2000) (Toy Biz) - Series 2
Rated 5.00 stars by TheGreyGoose
Wow, where to start? How about we start from the minute I walked into my local comic shop, the one only a mile away from me, Tate's the official (they have a trophy) greatest comic shop in the world. Basically, I walked in there with about 12 bucks, and I said to myself, "I wan' sum figgers" so I go over to the Marvel section and look at the Superhero Showdowns, sadly the only had Human Torch and Green Goblin, so I looks down to the Spider-man figures, and I find, well, you guessed it, Hobgoblin! He looks pretty cool, but not like the HObgoblin I've grown accustomed too, I check the price tag, and what do youu know, 12 dollars it costs (little more tha usual, but they go for suggested retail price, (jerks). So I go to the counter, ring it up, and run home as fast as my puny legs can take...[See More]
Spider-Man (2099)
Marvel Universe (Toy Biz) - 10" Scale - Series 1
Rated 4.00 stars by TheGreyGoose
Spider-man 2099 is great. He's the best 1099 character and always makes for a good action figure. I got him in a great lot with Wolverine and Deadpool (and She Hulk, but I honestly don't care about her). He's probably my favorite and the best, Marvel Universe figure. His sculpt is jsut a recycled Spider-man body being reused for the 10th time, but his paint is great and suits him well, perfect colors actually, also, he comes with a great cape. It clips to his neck and is tattered up, which gives him this really cool battle damage look, and it's fabric which is a nice change of pace. His hand is molded in a fist and a web slinging hand, it's kind of hard to pose him in an uber cool pose, but it's not impossible, and that's honestly the only down side to this figure. Overall, Spider-man...[See More]

I really liked the 2099 line, at the time it was a good change. Too bad they dropped it totally in the Marvel Universe, would be nice to see a relaunch with the effects of Civil War having changed things.
Deadpool
Marvel Universe (Toy Biz) - 10" Scale - Series 4
Rated 3.50 stars by TheGreyGoose
Well, let me start by saying, I know, I know, everyone loves Deadpool, and I was shocked I was able to get this for a decent price. Basically I got him and 3 others from this line because they only spelled Deadpool as "Dead" (typos are the best thing to happen to a website since Buy It Now). So basically, Deadpool has a reused body, which unfortunately has some Rob Liefield qualities to it (basically the torso is more muscular than the legs, which are sort of slender), this body was used on Nick Fury, and a few others. The paint apps however, are great, and definitely turn that tired old body into Deadpool. Like every other figure in this line, he has the basic 9 points of articulation (knees, elbows, shoulders, hips, head) and comes with two sword, unless you do some fidgeting, he can...[See More]
Wolverine (Blue and Yellow)
Marvel Universe (Toy Biz) - 10" Scale - Series 4
Rated 4.00 stars by TheGreyGoose
Well, I had a brief stint with 10 inch figures, not like brief where you chew gum for a minute brief, but brief as in you like it at first but the pleasure wears quickly. In that brief stint, my only real purchase of this line was a lot of 4, which included Wolverine. This Wolverine is similar to one I had as a child, at least I think it is, my memories a little foggy. It's the right scale for sure though. Anyway, articulation is anything but plentiful, and is limited to the standard 9, knees, elbows, arms, legs, and head. Paint apps are perfect, but they have to be, because this line was all about repainted bodies and reused parts (Hm, sounds like today's Marvel universe figures) This is a design for Wolverine that I've never seen in the comics or on the figures, but I like it. It's...[See More]
Batman (Future Knight)
Batman Beyond (Hasbro) - Basic Series
Rated 4.00 stars by TheGreyGoose
Ah, Batman Beyond, such an original venture with such fond memories, is not cool it had to end. One of the many memories I had was being a kid and having my dad buy me a Future Knight Batman Beyond figure. Of course, at the time it was only a Blue Batman Beyond, but as I was looking through Batman Beyond figures after getting into the series again recently, my little brother said to me "Dude, didn't you used to have that one?!" I was shocked, surprised, and happy, I immediately went to a website and bought it for 6 bucks. So basically, the figure itself isn't as good as I make it sound. It's got Kenner style articulation, and except for the eyes and insignia, none of it's painted, so it's kind of hard to say the paint apps are good or bad. The sculpt however, is pretty cool, and the fact...[See More]
Man-Bat
Batman - Legends of the Dark Knight (Kenner) - Series 3
Rated 5.00 stars by TheGreyGoose
Well, I like Batman. I really like Batman. Out of all of my DC figures, only about 3 of my figures aren't related to anything Batman. Legends of the Dark Knight Man Bat, much like my Croc Armor Batman, came with a large toy box I bought a while back. Let me start by saying that Man bat is far from my favorite character, in fact, I barely know that much about him. Initially, I didn't care about him that much, and he got passed aside with the other figures I didn't feel like keeping. However, after a while, when I displayed everything I had, I picked up Man Bat and started looking closer. His sculpt is pretty cool, and he's definitely original. His paint apps are pretty much perfect, and his articulation is plentiful, even though his shoulders can't move that much. His wings are pretty cool...[See More]
Batman (Croc Armor)
Batman - Comics (Mattel) - Series 3
Rated 4.50 stars by TheGreyGoose
Alright, so I only have any Mattel Batman figures because I got them in a toy box of a bunch of stuff. Basically, Mattel did a great job with this line. The place they shine the most though, is in the sculpt. The face is pretty original, and bears no resemblance to any other Batman figures, which is pretty good, because seeing the same face too many times in too many lines gets annoying (at least this one is only one line). My only problem with this individual figure is that he's painted in something that resembles skin color. When I first took out Croc Armor Batman, I thought he was the previous owner's joke of making a Streaker Batman, with the armor being some sort of Bondage gear. The figure has definitely grown on me though, he's much cooler than he was at first, I guess because he's...[See More]
Sub-Zero
Mortal Kombat (Palisades) - Basic Series
Rated 4.50 stars by TheGreyGoose
In case you guys haven't notice, I've been getting it on with the MK figures. Got into a couple of lucky trades. Basically, if any of you remember my review of Mortal Kombat Deception Sub-Zero, I was talking about how one thing I really didn't like was the fact that one of his hands was giving a thumbs up, well, in this figure, they both kind of look thumbs up-y. However, disregarding that, this may be the coolest and most well done of the MK figures. His paint apps are great, I like how his arms fade from ice to skin. Moreover, he's the best painted of any of the Mortal Kombat figures, the sculpt is every bit as good as the paint apps. I must say that this would be my favorite of all of Jazwares' Mortal Kombat figures if not for the fact that my favorite character is Reptile, and my...[See More]
Dr. Doom
Marvel Legends Showdown (Toy Biz) - Battle Booster Packs - Series 2
Rated 5.00 stars by TheGreyGoose
While some may say that Toy Biz wasn't ready to make a 3 3/4 line when they made Marvel Legends Showdown figures, Dr. Doom pretty much shuts all of them up. Dr Doom is everything Marvel Universe figures are and more. He has the same amount of sculpting and detail as a Marvel legends figure, albeit a little less articulation, he has some great paint apps, and he's capable of pulling off some poses that make him look like he's ready to serve up some DOOM! I have this figure standing in fornt of me right now, and honestly, I don't think that Hasbro's Marvel Universe Secret Wars 2 packs Dr. Doom figure is going to be able to beat this guy. He looks just like the first Marvel Legends Dr. Doom, and that's a good thing. Honestly, this figure is just another reason Toy Biz should still be doing...[See More]

McFarlane's Sports Picks - NFL (McFarlane) - 3" Figures - Series 5
Rated 4.00 stars by TheGreyGoose
Shocker is a character who a lot of people tend to make fun of due to the fact that he looks like he's wearing a quilt. I'm sonebody who has always liked his costume and always will. This figure is definitely a great one, but there are a few quirks, though I'll start with the good. His sculpt is great, the likeness is perfect and the paint apps are just as good. He's probably the best Shocker figure we have, and will be the best one we get for while. Whelp, on to the bad things. Because he has missles, his arms don't bend, which is one reason I don't like missle launching arms, luckily they're casted ina way that allows for cool Shocker like posing. While youu may not know, Shocker was supposed to be called Vibrator, until somebody pointed it out (like Shocker was much better, right?) in...[See More]
