Spider-Carnage
Spider-Man (Toy Biz) - Venom - Along Came a Spider
Rated 5.00 stars by TheGreyGoose
Spider-Carnage is a character which I really like, not because of his story, or his character, but just ebcause he looks so freaking cool. This figure really lives up to that by being something that honestly, I've never seen before. He's got a lot of gimmicks going for him that seem to work pretty well. Instead of using blue, they used one so dark, it's almost black, and while it looks great, the plastic has this smoothness to it, both it's look and feel, that I've enever seen on any other figure. The red on him is somethign you don't see anymore, it's translucent, so in the dark it looks almost black, but in the light it's like he's glowing, stick him in front of a candle and it's just beautiful. For such a gruesome character, they did a great job with making him look better than the...[See More]
Blackheart
Marvel Legends (Toy Biz) - Series 13 - Onslaught Series
Rated 4.00 stars by TheGreyGoose
Well, Blackheart is a villain I know mostly through the Marvel vs Capcom games, though that doesn't mean I like him any less. This figureis weird though. While it accurately represent the character that I know and love, with an amazing sculpt, a plethroa of articulation, and some pretty cool poses, there's one complaint that continues to plague me, and that is his tail. I'm not sure if it's just mine, but his tail is hard to bend, and if you don't get it just right, he either leans back, or falls compeltely, and without it, he can't support himself the way he's designed to stand. And if you do get it right then he takes up a little too much space for my tatstes, and having limited room to keep my figures, this can create problems. Blackheart's a great figure, don't get me wrong, it's just...[See More]

Wolverine (Strike Mission)
X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Hasbro) - Comic Series
Rated 3.00 stars by TheGreyGoose
Well, this figure is a weird one. If any of you have been paying attention to this line you know that this figure is its biggest shelf warmer, I think that's because of its horrible head sculpt. It's an unmasked Wolverine (which almost never looks good on a figure) with an ugly helmet in an uncharacteristically bulky uniform. The figure itself is pretty good, it's just ugly. The easiest way to improve this figure to make it ten times better would just be to paint a Brown Wolverine head blue and head swap it, it honestly looks like a decent Wolverine that way, because if you can get past the horrible head sculpt, this figure is actually worth the money. That's not to say I'd buy it again, but if I did, I wouldn't regret it, even though I only ever bought him to replace my Deadpool's lost...[See More]

Darth Maul
Star Wars - Legacy Collection (Hasbro) - Blue / White Cards - Saga Legends
Rated 0.25 stars by TheGreyGoose
Ugh, there's so many things wrong with this figure, I don't even know where to start! Well, I'll start with how he looks aesthetically. His paint apps are downright terrible, it looks like he has a black mustache, he has no loincloth so it looks like he's wearing the top half of a robe and sweat pants, the robe he comes is way too big so he looks beyond stupid when you manage to wrap it around him, sadly this is the best you can get him to look. His lightsaber, oh god his lightsaber! Get this, it's the same one he's had since his first figure from the 90s, you'd think by now they'd have tweaked it justa little, I mean at least give it a tiny flare or let us detach it into two blades, but no, his lightsaber's been a straight repack for 10 years. Now down to articulation. That's terrible...[See More]
Noob Saibot
Mortal Kombat (Jazwares) - Series 3 - Shaolin Monks
Rated 3.50 stars by TheGreyGoose
Jazware's Mortal kombat line got worse as time went on, to the point where I could pop off a head and the hand would fall off the joint, however, Noob Saibot was a return to the quality of line 1 of the Mortal kombat Deception figures, by this I mean he can survive falls and removal of removable limbs. Any, not sure whether this is the variant or the regular, but his paint job is strange. His suit is grey and his mask is black, his costume in Deception was black with a grey mask, however since the released a repaint I'll let it slide. Overall, Noob has some greate poses he can be put in, and his articulation is pretty similar to DC Universe Classics, which is by no means a bad thing, I just wish he was as solid, by that I mean that his limbs can slide around and can get pretty loose over...[See More]
Spartan Soldier Mark VI (Blue)
Halo 3 (McFarlane) - Series 1 - Multiplayer
Rated 5.00 stars by TheGreyGoose
Well, I'm not that big a fan of Halo, in fact, I couldn't like it less, however, one thing that always kept me looking was the great designs of the Spartans. This was my first figure in McFarlane's Halo 3 5 inch series, and let me say it definitely won't be my last. The articulation is beautiful, pretty much everything you'd expect to have articulation has one more thing than you'd need (expect fingers sadly) I'm happy that the sculpt is different from Master Chief's even if it's not by that much, that means McFarlane didn't take the lazy route and didn't just repaint it and the paint apps are too good, some people need to take lessons on how this guy does stuff because his work is stellar. The Spartan's accesories are not only what you'd expect, but probably everything you'd want. It...[See More]
Azrael
DC Super Heroes (Mattel) - Series 3
Rated 3.50 stars by TheGreyGoose
Azrael is a great character, and the thigns he went through were pretty killer, but I'm saddened with how few action figures he has. As Azrael he only has 2. The annoyingly terrible Knight Force Ninjas one, and the DC Universe Classics one. I've got to say this figure is pretty expensive, and it's easily debatable whether or not he's worth it. His articulation, paint apps, and sculpt are all great, in fact, they're phenominal, but the little problems end up being pretty big. The fact that he's always hunching makes him look kind of weird, and you have to move his torso up, then move the upper half of his body abck to get him to look up, then you have to find a way to balance him. Also, his legs are sort of curved, so he always looks like he's leaning to fall over. The final problem is...[See More]
Deadpool
X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Hasbro) - Movie Series
Rated 4.50 stars by TheGreyGoose
Yes I know, this is not the Deadpool you know and love, this is a travesty, and you must hate me for buying the figure. Well you shouldn't. Plain and simple, he's a great figure! While movie Deadpool (I call him Dudepeel) isn't what we wanted him to be, he is what he is and we can't change it. But I was on the prowl one day and when Is aw him, I gave in to temptation, thinking if I did this is was spitting in Deadpool's face, well it wasn't. While Dudepeel may not have wrist articulation, he looks a lot better than he did in the movie. His tattoos are more noticable, even though the ones on his chest may be a little off, he has the most consisitently good paint apps of this line. The wrist bandages the put on his forearms actually look cool, and the shaved head is a bit more entertaining...[See More]
Deadpool
X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Hasbro) - Comic Series
Rated 4.00 stars by TheGreyGoose
Ah yes, here it is, the figure that everyone seems to want. The X-Men Origins: Wolverine Comic Series Deadpool, all the fun of Deadpool without the 150 dollars needed to get the Marvel Legends one! This guy is hard to find, but not impossible, but enough about the fans, time to review. His sculpt is pretty accurate, and he comes with a load of accesories. A handgun, a machine gun, a cartoonishly large Sai, and two swords, funny thing is, the scabbard you store the swords in is a bit too big, but you should be able to peel it of the back, keeping the good look of the harness while still being able to replace the scabbard at any time. I've got to say, the paint on this figure is insane. I compared the four that my Walmart had in stock once. One was perfect (onviously I bought this one), one...[See More]

I don''t advise buying anything from scalpers. I consider them just slightly above toy swappers on my "scum of my hobby" chart.
