Action Figure ChatterGreetings everyone, I hope everyone is enjoying their Friday. I had a question and was hoping someone could point me to a website they use or even a customizer that actually does the type of work I'm about to mention. I am trying to build somewhat of a futuristic...lets call it a command center type place. I'm looking for something that looks like glass but isn't actual glass and I'm looking for something a long the lines of stickers or something that I could place on the "glass" that looks like keyboards, monitors, something that looks like switches. ( I really hope I'm making sense here as I struggle at times for the right words to use )I am looking for it to be in scale between 6-7.5 ( maybe 8 ) inch figures. Also wondering if there's a type of plastic that is out there that could be used as flooring, walls, and in areas ceilings and maybe able to cut/craft it to what I'm trying to do.
I know there's some stuff out there that comes with figures however, I have a rather tight budget and some of the stuff is out of my price range at this moment in time. My wife thought of utilizing Lego pieces and it got me wondering if there's anyone here that actually uses some of the lego structures for there dioramas. I would be very appreciative to any help, suggestions, websites people use, and lastly if someone could direct me to an experienced Diorama builder that can offer tips/tricks/and maybe tutorials through youtube or website.
Lastly. I know that S.H. Figuarts makes the Iron Man Armor display walls like the 1/6 counterpart, I'm interested in something like this to go along with my project and was wondering if anyone has any homemade ideas for something like this.
I know it's a lot of questions here and might be a bit of an undertaking, but I have the ambition and the imagination and it's one of those things that I can't drop until I've at least tried my hand at it. Okay promise last question, if anyone knows of folks that make dioramas do you know of any that in case I find myself in over my head that offer there services in making such things.
I would like to thank you in advance for any information you can offer and I will look at everything suggested to help me build the idea that I have. Of course once I've finished I will be more than happy to share with the community. Might even post stuff as the project progresses.
Again Thanks,

The plastic "blister" packaging from random products (batteries, glue , anything that cardboard back and plastic cover ) can be turn into space-age doodads for the walls and machine components . With a little paint and fodder glued on ( wires, decals and such )
You'll have to look into water-slide decals to make things to stick onto the glass.
Many people use styrene sheets to build dioramas. It's tough plastic that comes in many thicknesses.
Foam is good for more organic things, like dirt and rock walls.
There are always LEGO elements you can use to connect things. For secure connections, you'll mostly be looking at Technic Axles and Technic Pins, along with the elements they slot into, like bushings, bricks, etc.
Also try searching the Custom Showcase for dioramas and ask the creators for tips.
