DC Essentials: Cracking Torso?

So I'm about to recieve a bunch of figures for what's going to be a rather involved custom using a DC Essentials Aquaman as a base, and one of the big things I'll need to do is break down the figure (I need to swap an arm out and fully paint the thing). Has anyone who has worked with them give me an idea of how tough they are to crack open?
