Penny Dreadful figures

Action Figure ChatterHello Gang, I was wanting to know if anyone has any experience with the figures based on the Penny Dreadful show? They're made by Biff Bang Pow toys and I know them to be more of a novelty/collectible company. I have seen the figures several times for decent prices and thought about picking a couple up for customs or background characters in displays since their clothing is pretty normal and the seem to have ML type articulation. I can't seem to find any reviews so I thought you all might be able to help me out.
Thanks

Here you can see a flesh-colored spot in the hair that would suggest an ear if it weren't so far down. It's also more chippy-looking in real life than my cellphone could capture.
Here you can see a little better that the paint is less than perfect around the wispy bits around the face. There's also a streak in the fringe near the part line where you can still see the skin color through the hair, creating the illusion of a white or grey streak.
Better shot of the pale streak.
For articulation, I'm actually surprised by how many points there are. The head is on a ball-jointed neck, so it can go up and down and tilt side to side. It does not swivel very well, though, and you can't really turn the head to, say, look over the shoulder. Both shoulders are ball joints, and when they first came out of the box, they were so stiff that all you could really do was swivel the arm. When I tried to raise the arm out to the side, the whole arm popped right off from the shoulder socket.
HOWEVER: it popped right back in, and once I did that, I got a much better range of motion. I suspect that the joints are gummy and if I were to disassemble him, clean him thoroughly and reassemble him, all of the joints would work better.
The elbows are nicely articulated and can be bent in and out, as well as swiveled 360 degrees. There are swivel joints at the solar plex, waist, and both thighs. Knees are as articulated as the elbows, and there are joints in each ankle, allowing the feet to be raised, lowered, turned in, and turned out. It took very little effort to pose him sitting in a half-lotus pose.
Which may be the pose I have to keep him in, because there was no base included and his coat tails are so heavy, he can barely stand.
All in all, I'm not really disappointed with my purchase. I'd give him a 7/10. It'd be more if they had made the coat less heavy or included a base.
