Heavier 6in suit figure

Posted in Action Figure Chatter

Hey guys, new to the forum but been lurking on the site for ages. I just havent modified anything enough for me to warrant the post.

After ebay searching i really cant find what im looking for. I am working on a fight scene with politicians and have been moving along nicely using headcast from glassman and ebay and dc and marvel suit bodies. Now, i get to trump and im finding the coulson body small and say a wwe figure to big in scale with the head so the coulson body is in scale but standing next to putin and obama (harvey dent and coulson body) trump should be "cough cough" fatter

Any insight on a good base figure with minimal customizing needed i would greatly appreciate it. And once done ill post pics

I have been working with a 2 part silicon mold lately( from michaels art supplies ) Mixing equal parts of the "A" and "B" components and then making impressions of armor patterns and different elements that are sculpted on the figures. Then filling the mold with sculpty clay and pressing the clay filled mold directly on to a different figure. If it is a simple impression ( meaning not too elaborate of a pattern ) I will peal off the mold befor heating it up, to set the clay ( with a black&decker paint stripper heat gun ) the benefit being that it can be altered ( in this case , streatched out)
For Elaborate paterns or shapes ( lots of small details ), the part gets boiled. then place in the freezer or a little while.
So I bet if take off his jacket ( agent colson"s)
sculpt a fatter chest on to the figure and set clay
mixing enough silicon to cover the jacket surface, make a impression of the jacket....... should be a "u" shaped mold to accommodate the opened jacket look, remove the original, cut the mold it in half in the back(so it fits over the fatter chest)
fill mold half with clay and press them on to colson new chest ( depending on how fat you made him you might have to peal off the mold and stretch the jacket clay to fit )
add clay in the back to blend the edges.
set the clay
You can either paint or you can use colored sculpty.
I can send pictuers if you want to help better explain the process.
Best of luck and Happy building!!!!
Cheers
