Displaying carded figures?

Posted in Action Figure Chatter

Hi

I have 5 or 6 bins full of carded figures in my basement. I want to display them in a spare bedroom I have but I am not sure how. This is only for carded figures as loose figures are easy to display in cabinets.

I ended up hanging peg board onto the wall and used store quality hangers. With pushpins, you run the risk of the weight of the toy pulling the pin out of the wall, bending up the card. You can get a 4 by 4 sheet. I put up a 8 ft long, 1 inch wide board the length of the wall on top to bottom, then screwed the peg board to that. Paint it the color of the wall, and it does not look bad.

Clear pushpins around (not thru, I ain't crazy) the card to hold it up. If you line them up next to each other it cuts down on the number. They are clear so you see the whole card, they can be easily moved and the holes are small enough to patch for repainting.

That's very helpful, I was actually thinking about that.
I will go to Lowes and get one to try.

I was looking for images but can't seem to find them again lol. It was on a wrestling forum, basically you can carpet the whole wall in packages and it's all completely modular. Just try to get the thinnest frame possible, or maybe even frameless to get a seamless look.

Alternately, get thin sheets of eva foam (like floor mats), though they would have to be dense enough to support the packages.

I've seen people put up cork boards then simply hang the packages from pins or hooks
