The Mirai Ninja (Japanese translation) figures are based on both a movie Cyber Ninja (U.S. Title) and a game Future Ninja (U.S. Title but only released in Japan), both produced by Namco in 1988. Character designs and Director of the film were Keita Amemiya (Zeiram, Kamen Rider). The plot is that a man's body and soul are stolen and used as part of a demon's castle. What's left becomes a cyber-ninja named Shiranui.
