For puck sake!!!! in Figure Realm Comments and Questions by Foxkingcult
Thursday, May 12, 2016
   [Edit]
Okay, bit of a rant but why is puck so hard to find? I've been hunting him down for years with no joy, I've attempted to make my own but the proportions don't seem to fit, so I'm looking for some help, I'm guessing the best option would be a marvel universe figure but although I love the juggernaut versions they still don't scream puck to me, maybe a beast figure? I don't know but shortening wolverines and hacking apart my collection isn't helping lol does anyone sell a cast? Or something? any help would be great,...[See More]

It might take some customizing, but have you looked at modifying an El Torito wrestling figure?

Reduce the requirements to manage contests in Figure Realm Comments and Questions by ZombieKev
Friday, May 20, 2016
   [Edit]
I think you should reduce the requirements to manage contests. The 100 (or is it 200?) comments requirements is too steep. I'd happily manage a few contests if I could. The ones that do get approved sometimes seem out there, while the ones that languish are usually the ones that would generate way more entries....[See More]

Welp, I went ahead and mass posted (to customs I liked), then approved a few contests I'd like to see.

There's so much cool stuff on here that I'd be surprised if you didn't hit 200 posts in the first half hour of browsing lol. There's so much to say about everyone's work.

You aren't missing much by not managing a contest though, all it means is you answer any questions people have about the contest and let the regulators/moderators know about any entries that don't fit. You can also manage other people's contests if they let you.

Personally, I'd like to scrap like half the current ideas in the queue because I don't think they're all that interesting, but Cap doesn't want to upset anyone by doing that.

You can post 50 comments/a day, just look at a lot of old customs, and comment on every custom you look at. That's what I did.
"views" in Figure Realm Comments and Questions by newcollector
Tuesday, April 26, 2016
   [Edit]
Not sure if the admins were already thinking about adding this, however, I thinking adding a "view" counter to the individual customs pages would be cool. With comments usually ranging from 5-10, it is hard to remember that there are actually a lot of lurkers around who just like to see cool customs. I think by having a "view" counter that counts every time your custom is "clicked into", it would give the customizers some indication of how many people are acutally looking at their work. Anyway, just a suggestion. Great site....[See More]

I think it'd be neat to add more data/statistics for customizers to sift through (are there any other custom gallery sites that do that?), but apparently nothing is that easy to implement to this site. For example, I thought modifying how the contest voting works would be a relatively simple job, but Cap said it wasn't possible. Plus, Cap has to do all the custom coding on his own. I think time (the lack of it) is the major factor he has to consider when deciding to add features.

I agree. A "like" button would be cool. But in talking to folks on this site, it seems like a lot of "lurkers" never even bother to log in. They just look as a "guest". If they could make the "like" option open to guests, in addition to signed-in members, then that would work also.

I usually contact Captain Coder if I have any issues such as this. The thing is, Captain Coder has no link to his profile and also cannot be found in the users search engine. Do you by any chance have the Contact Email?? Thanks in advance!!
Enlarged photos by default in Figure Realm Comments and Questions by Shinigami

   [Edit]
Hi, thanks for the bigger photo sizes and that +1 pic. The fact that right now pics are small by default and need to be enlarged is a chore. Can we get them in 1:1 scale instead of the tiny ant pics?...[See More]

Sorry, we can't do that for a couple different reasons. It takes considerable resources and bandwidth, on both our servers and your devices (computer, tablet, phone, etc), to always load the large pictures. We sorta got away with it before because the picture sizes, quality and quantity were so limited. Defaulting to the thumbnail images is the only way we can get past those limitations for now.

   [Edit]
Hi..I like the new picture posting format and the additional extra picture entry is a plus ..but I noticed that only on wide screen pictures when they are enlarged get slightly cut off on the right hand side. Is there any way this can be adjusted? Thanks...[See More]

I noticed this too. The enlarged pics are a good new feature, but it seems that wide pictures do get cut off slightly on the right side upon clicking "enlarge".

I'll keep that in mind when I take pictures for my next customs so that I won't include too much in the frame on the right. But if this can still be adjusted, that would be great.

Either way, might as well try it out, $20 for a reusable mold is pretty great.

From what I remember reading, they only list stuff they have in stock, so someone may have simply bought all their heads.

Try ebay though, there are casters there too. Ask them if they have what youre looking for, you may even get a better price than casting cave.
