Super-Articulated Action Figure Blanks (Kickstarter) in Action Figure Chatter by Henchmen4Hire
Friday, October 20, 2017
   [Edit]
It's been a while since I've run my mouth, so here we go lol

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/14 ... nav_search

This is what I've been wanting, blank figures that are ready to be modified without needing to grind off molded belts or boots or whatever.

However, that desire came with the assumption that they would be MUCH cheaper than the stuff we see on the pegs today. I assumed that if the figures didn't need to be painted or packaged, and there was no need to pay to use the likeness of any character or logo, that the figures would be much cheaper. But here is this Kickstarter campaign that crushes my hopes.

Not only do these figures cost the same as the ludicrously (and eve...[See More]

An update

This project was successfully funded, congrats to those folks.

However, I'm not sure if I'm more disappointed in the figure collectors who are so eager to pay through the nose for more of this same stuff, or customizers who don't speak up and ask what makes these things worth buying over what's already out there for our needs. As far as I can tell, the answer is nothing. ...

Absolutely right, 5-10 dollars for figures is the answer for those folks at Cryptid Toys, or have some actual characters worthwhile to go with the blanks that we would be willing to spend on. I am curious to see what they have in store for the 6" scale after the Female bodies get unlocked... Aliens?

I'd be interested in a parts pack with many different alien heads/hands/feet, and lots of human heads too.

Fullbody aliens would be sweet, I love scifi and creature stuff.

Great looking mech and review, thanks for posting. I'd love to collect stuff like that, but at that price point I'd rather build it with Lego and create a lot of added features.

They are post apocalyptic alternative history.

1:18 scale (3.75 inches like the original Star /wars toys) with transforming mechs and amazing weathering paint apps. They are a little pricey and difficult to get hold of (BBTS stocks them), but well worth it, and they generally go up in value. They are about to release a 1:28 scale (2.5 inch) line too.

I've got a few YouTube videos of them ...

There's a lot of chatter about lotr in this topic http://www.figurerealm.com/topic?topicid=9511

From my experience selling my lotr stuff a while ago, there are some key figures that sell for a lot, like horses, the dragon/snake mount things, the giant trolls, etc. Most of the other stuff sells for like 5 to 20 bucks, depending on the character, if it's in package, etc.

Would any good customizer on here be willing to make me a Custom Kaido from One piece figure for commission. I know it will be costly. I would like it to be a 10 to 11 inch figure.

Good luck with that, looks like a cool display piece.

It might actually be cheaper to try to get that 3D model and have it printed and painted than having someone make it from scratch lol. Though I'm sure there's a Hulk figure somewhere out there that would work as a cheap base.

The latest episode of my webcomic https://actionfiguregraphicnovels.wordp ... episode-4/ features figures from Onell Design (Glyos) and American Girl. These are great because they fit in nicely in a 1:18 diorama. I like the idea of smaller aliens. You have to walk down the pink Barbie aisle in the toy store to find the American Girl figures. There is a nice assortment of the 2" figures....[See More]

Hey, everyone! Got real lucky yesterday and managed to find the new ares figure at a walmart (plus I convinced them to give me a 10% discount because his box was a little scuffed) and was wondering, should I go for a mighty avengers setup, or a dark avengers setup? My collection is a bit on the small side atm, so I don't really have many of the other characters. Although (points for dark avengers) I do have a classic hawkeye and intend to eventually pick up a symbiote spiderman.

So what are your thought and opinions? I'd love to hear them!...[See More]

I guess that's not too bad of an idea! I only wish that Dark Wolverine was worth a little less, especially because I'd want to try and get his unmasked head too!

My personal opinion is if you're already more in line with the Dark Avengers team with the figures you already have and plan to get, I'd suggest going that route. Just seems it would be the easier, faster route to assembling a team, you could always build the other team later and have Aries serve double duty on both!
Heavier 6in suit figure in Action Figure Chatter by Cgoody

Hey guys, new to the forum but been lurking on the site for ages. I just havent modified anything enough for me to warrant the post.

After ebay searching i really cant find what im looking for. I am working on a fight scene with politicians and have been moving along nicely using headcast from glassman and ebay and dc and marvel suit bodies. Now, i get to trump and im finding the coulson body small and say a wwe figure to big in scale with the head so the coulson body is in scale but standing next to putin and obama (harvey dent and coulson body) trump should be "cough cough" fatter

Any insight on a good base figure with minimal customizing needed i would greatly appreciate it. And once done ill post pics...[See More]

I have been working with a 2 part silicon mold lately( from michaels art supplies ) Mixing equal parts of the "A" and "B" components and then making impressions of armor patterns and different elements that are sculpted on the figures. Then filling the mold with sculpty clay and pressing the clay filled mold directly on to a different figure. If it is a simple impression ( meaning not too elaborate of a pattern ) I will peal off the mold befor heating it up, to set the clay ( with a black&decker paint stripper heat gun ) the benefit being that it can be altered ( in this case , streatched out)
For Elaborate paterns or shapes ( lots of small details ), the part gets boiled. then place in the freezer or a little while.
So I bet if take off his jacket ( agent colson"s)
sculpt a fatter chest ...
Breaking Bad figures in Action Figure Chatter by skrezyna

Hi everyone, I'm brand new here.

I'm just now starting to look at these figures and can't believe they decided to have all the suit variations for WW/Jesse/Saul instead of taking the time to make the other characters. The worst has to be not having a Jesse Pinkman in street clothes. They could have done a much better job in my opinion....[See More]
